Software Engineer II

Management scope: The Software Engineer II implements Transcepta’s SaaS applications. Implementation will use software coding best-practices.

Product scope: Works with senior engineers to generate technical designs from marketing requirements. Implements all aspects of Transcepta’s SaaS applications based on the technical designs generated.

Career stage description: Software Engineer IIs are experienced hands-on software developers. They will use industry standard coding practices to build SaaS solutions. They will create unit tests to validate their solutions.

At this stage in their career, the Software Engineer II’s personal output is primarily focused on software development. The daily workload will entail working on features outlined in an Agile backlog. As needed, they will provide 4th level engineering support to solve production issues.

Responsibilities: The following is a partial list of responsibilities for the Software Engineer:

· Hands-on Development

· Work with product management to generate technical designs

· Develop, test and analyze new and current SaaS applications

· Participate in Agile standups and implement Sprint features

· Ensure Transcepta’s customer data remains private by using secure coding practices.

Experience and Education: The following work experience and educational requirements are guidelines that will help identify suitable candidates:

· Bachelor’s degree computer science/engineering. Masters preferred

· 1+ years work experience architecting SaaS applications

· 1+ years .Net development experience a plus

· 1+ years SQL development experience a plus

· HTML5/Javascript experience a plus

· AWS or Azure cloud experience a plus

· Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
