The Role

The LCP is seeking a dedicated Life Coach to deliver our transformative program within a secure environment.

This role demands a dynamic individual capable of providing instruction, developing and implementing lesson plans, and leading workshops and seminars based on the Life Connections Program (LCP) curriculum. You will play a key role in guiding participants through various program components, including addiction recovery and criminal thinking correction courses.

This is a part-time, contract vacancy 1099 that shall not exceed 30 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 am and 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction based on their own expertise as it relates to the core curriculum materials.
• Life Connections Program Life Coach of program goals, scheduling and work with the LCP Chaplain.
• The LCP will be expected to foster relationships with a broad variety of religious communities including but not limited to Protestant, Pagan, Catholic Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, etc.
• LCP Coach will be required to coordinate all program components, facilitating of workshops, seminars and other programming needs including-but not limited to:
• Develop lesson plans & seminars using the LCP curriculum for persons representing a diverse group of religions.
• Facilitate study groups and educational classes.
• Provide leadership for the Addiction Recovery portion of the LCP, Develop & implement addiction recover lesson plans for us within the LCP.
• Maintain records of student participation and progress regarding above classes. Create and provide reports to the LCP Chaplain.
• Assist the LCP Chaplain with the implementation and running of the pre-course work for students waiting to program and after-care for those completed with the program.
• Lead LCP participants through a criminal thinking/corrective thinking course.
• (Truthought).
• Shall work closely with the Chaplain Program Manager and other program staff to assist in the development of the program and gauge progress of individual participants.
• Consultations will be held with Life Connections Chaplain Program Manager as needed.
• Contractor shall be monitored by the Life Connections Chaplain Program Manager.
• Shall attend all training required by the Bureau of Prisons.

The Person

• Shall possess a Bachelors of Arts from an accredited college or university. A major in criminology, addictions studies, counseling, psychology or other behavioral sciences is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to include documented experience in public speaking, and addictions CBT group facilitation. The Life Connection Program Life Coach facilitator must have experience in managing multiple tasks in the coordination of daily activities involving numerous and diverse groups of people.
