Controller Accounting Manager

Shepherd Search Group is currently seeking a Controller for Ballard Marine Construction, a specialty marine and underwater contractor based in Washougal, WA.

As the Controller, you will collaborate with the CEO and EVP on all financial aspects of the Marine Construction business and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements which follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines.

We are looking for a professional with a broad knowledge of accounting principles in the heavy civil/marine construction industry and with the ability to effectively communicate with principles and non-financial personnel. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and effective leader, with the ability to guide the company toward continued profitability and long-term success.

If you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting finance or relevant field, a minimum of 10 years private construction financial management experience, and experience leading a staff of accounting professionals including in-house payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cost accounting, then we encourage you to apply by submitting your resume and cover letter.
