Role Summary

 

As the Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for managing Intellivo’s external communications and public relations efforts as well as internal communications in partnership with HR. Key focuses include building Intellivo’s brand awareness, promoting our products and services, growing our internal employer brand, and managing our digital reputation. The role will be responsible for content production for all communication channels including press releases, blogs, social posts, intranet posts, etc.

 

The ideal candidate will have superb writing and editing skills, ability to juggle content production across all channels. Experience supporting a startup organization and an understanding of healthcare payer markets—preferably in the value-based space—is a plus. A strong work ethic and ability to wear multiple hats in a small organization is required. Journalism background preferred.

 

Location 

 

This role is an on-site position in St. Louis, MO. 

 

Responsibilities 


  • Develop and manage external and internal communication programs to achieve our corporate objectives.
  • Manage media relations, proactively pitch stories, and communicate actively with industry press to effectively drive results.
  • Facilitate issues preparedness and response for media inquiries; partner with leadership to respond to issues and manage reputation.
  • Remain knowledgeable of marketplace and external forces and trends that have the potential to impact our industry.
  • Responsible for PR and announcement strategy of key news, including drafting all press releases.
  • Conduct and oversee thought leadership programming in support of CEO and in partnership with marketing, to build consideration for Intellivo's market positioning.
  • Manage external agency partners, budget, and resources.
  • Build open and collaborative relationships with leadership team, as well as strong relationships with colleagues in marketing, HR, legal, compliance, and technology.
  • Build relationships with key industry publications and secure organic or paid communication placements.
  • Ownership of all social and reputation channels, website blog and news posts, and news feed for company intranet.

 

Qualifications 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field required
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate communications and public relations preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Expertise in payer market, value-based care, or healthcare technology preferred
  • Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Proven track record of impactful storytelling with complex subjects
  • Knowledge of B2B marketing and communications
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across a wide range of groups and individuals at all seniority levels
  • Experience developing communications plans aligning internal, external, and stakeholder communications against business priorities
  • Experience in building integrated marketing communications programs that drive outcomes across traditional media, digital, and social channels
  • Strong creative ability and design skills
