CALIBRATION TECH

GEOKON, INCORPORATED (est. 1979), The World Leader in Vibrating Wire Technology®, is a manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation used in civil, mining and structural engineering projects throughout the world.

We are currently seeking a Calibration Technician to join our team! Under the direction of the Calibration Supervisor, you will be responsible perform calibration of geotechnical instrumentation, including set-up, testing, and analyzing measurement instruments ensuring they are within GEOKON established acceptance criteria.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Set-up calibration equipment specific to the instruments being calibrated
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• Utilize equipment to monitor, test, and calibrate geotechnical equipment to established acceptance criteria
• Perform Pressure, Angle, Displacement, Compression, and Tension calibration traceable to NIST and ISO compliance
• Diagnose and trouble shoot instrument failures
• Generate documentation for out of tolerance conditions for Engineering review and approval
• Collect, analyze, review, and save calibration data
• Maintain daily output report
• Print, file, and scan calibration reports to designated locations

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years of assembly experience preferred
• Other Requirements:
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
• Organization skills required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities as they may change
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
