We are seeking a Staff Accountant who is an impact player to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements. The ideal candidate is expected to have a deep sense of ownership, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, possess solid operational and technical accounting background, drive positive change across the organization, and enhance partnerships between various Four Hands stakeholder groups.

In This Role

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close process including preparation of journal entries
Drive acceleration of the current general ledger close process by identifying and leading the implementation of automation and streamlining of the monthly/quarterly close processes
Ensure consolidated financial statements are consistent with GAAP, including newly issued and emerging pronouncements
Review expenses at a cost-center level for accuracy and understand key trends
Partner with cash accountant to maintain bank statements and perform bank reconciliations
Ensure balance sheet accounts are properly calculated, supported, and reconciled utilizing the Blackline tool
Manage fixed assets within Sage tool and prepare supporting schedules
Prepare supporting schedules and facilitate follow-up as part of Four Hands’ annual external audit and bank audit
Establish and own effective internal controls and appropriate accounting procedures, including evaluation of processes and controls for compliance
Support the implementation of the new ERP system
Interacts with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting challenges, drive operational improvement, and enhance financial processes
Continuously scale and improve current processes and policies to meet the needs of a high-growth organization
Complete other accounting tasks as assigned, including ad hoc projects

The Ideal Person

Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA license or path to CPA preferred
2+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilities
Technical and international accounting experience preferred
Solid understanding of US GAAP, general accounting processes, internal controls, and financial analysis tools
Intermediate-level experience using Excel, including the ability to work with complex tables and X-lookups
Positive attitude, ability to work well under pressure; exceptional customer service
Results driven with a high sense of urgency, taking ownership and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
