Logistics Technician

MBDA Inc. is currently seeking a Logistics Technician. This is a great opportunity for a high-performing individual to join MBDA's Huntsville, Alabama, Team!

SUMMARY

The Logistics Technician directs the flow of shipments both inbound and outbound in the manner that is most cost effective. Routes outbound delivered loads and inbound back-hauls utilizing logistics software. References DOT regulations and manages load utilization and coordinates common carrier activities. Maintains customer delivery time windows. Manages communications associated with logistics distribution of material. and coordinates the distribution point of material for incoming and outgoing material. Maintains stockroom/inventory and associated documentation and performs periodic stockroom audits and reports.

This position is Tuesday through Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (10 hour shift with a 30 minute meal break x 4 times per week).

EXPERIENCE

Analytical skills; logistics software; works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring moderate judgment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires High School diploma with a minimum of 1 year experience.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Forklift Training as required by safety regulations;
• Department of Transportation Training;
• Hazardous Waste Training;
• OSHA Trainings;
• annual Electro-Static Discharge Training; and necessary safety training per company policy.
