Job Title: Patient Collections Manager

Job Description:
As the Patient Collections Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 20+ professionals engaged in patient collections activities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and accurate collection of outstanding balances while maintaining a high level of customer service and adherence to regulatory guidelines. This position requires strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of 20+ patient collections specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure departmental goals are met.
2. Develop and implement strategies to optimize the collection process, including the utilization of technology, analytics, and best practices.
3. Monitor team performance and productivity metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
4. Collaborate with other departments, including billing, finance, and customer service, to streamline processes and enhance the overall patient experience.
5. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and changes in healthcare policy that may impact patient collections activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
6. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members to foster professional growth and development.
7. Prepare and present reports on collection metrics, trends, and outcomes to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to patient privacy, billing practices, and collections procedures.
9. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to excellence.
10. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in collections management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving common goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing successful process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes is desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
