Job Description

Our team is currently seeking an Operations Assistant that will be responsible for assisting the Plant Manager to support the production process.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high levels of on-time creation and completion of production orders in the ERP and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Coordinates, optimizes, and expedites the flow of work within or between work centers to provide smooth and timely flow in the factory and expedite critical production orders as required.
  • Collaborates and communicates with manufacturing and logistics regarding material buy plans and delivery schedules affecting timely completion and delivery of customer orders.
  • Perform cycle count analysis and control inventory cycle entry.
  • Creates the pre-build book for production.
  • Perform quality checks on received parts to ensure purchase order specifications have been met.
  • Maintain accurate records of kitting activities, including inventory levels, usage, and discrepancies.
  • Ensure job kits are on-time and staged in the correct plant locations.
  • Generate reports and provide relevant production-related data and insights to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of required materials and components.
  • Collect and send monthly labor hours to management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience of inventory control, purchasing and production management computer systems.
  • Ability to work with assemblers and production supervisors to achieve the highest outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in an inventory or manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Exposure to non-climate controlled conditions.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm
