Job Description

Peoplelink Staffing has partnered with a PREMIER employer in the Greater Richmond area. Our client is the world’s premier producer of differentiated polyester films, enabling a wide range of applications in the electronics, healthcare, and photovoltaics markets. We are currently hiring Material Handlers for the Chester, VA facility for their film line and pelletizing departments.

Material Handler Job Summary:

12 hour rotating shift
$17.64

Material Handler Duties:

Maintain a safe work environment
Safely operate a gas-powered forklift
Provide overall assistance on line (feed cutters, wrap rolls, operate hoists
Visually inspect film rolls
Know and follow all plant safety procedures
Use of material handling equipment to obtain all materials necessary for the area to operate smoothly
Collect chip samples, label samples with identifying information, and deliver to the appropriate area
Identify and trace the components of the pelletizing system
Ensuring necessary supplies and system components are on hand and prepared to support operations
Contribute to team effort – attendance, punctuality, dependable, works well with others

Material Handler Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
Computer Skills
General/basic knowledge of the film making process
Knowledge of safety rules and safe equipment operating procedures
Ability to use various measuring devices
Ability to work a 12 hour shift/day and night shift
Clean background
Must be able to pass drug screen
