Warehouse

Role Summary: The Warehouse Worker is responsible for operating a forklift to load materials and move product around, along with keeping the warehouse and landscape supply yard well organized. This position requires interaction with customers as you help load products into their vehicles and assist them with any questions they might have. To be a successful Warehouse Worker, you must be organized, plan ahead, and be able to prioritize your daily work. The Warehouse Worker is responsible for transporting goods from distribution centers to customers. They follow specified schedule and conduct regular vehicle check-ups and maintenance to keep company vehicles in good working condition.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming stock and materials
• Pick and fill orders from stock
• Pack and ship orders
• Organize and retrieve stock in the warehouse
• Transport incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas sometimes requiring use of hand dolly, forklift, cherry pickers or pallet jack
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Assist with inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with warehouse leads
• Report any discrepancies or damages in inventory to supervising authorities
• Assist in counting of physical inventory
• Prepare parcels for mailing or shipping
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and packaging of goods
• Load and unload delivery trucks and make sure that each incoming delivery matches the company purchase order
• Participate in quality improvement efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Making deliveries to the pier and customers

Minimum Job Qualifications

• One to two years related experience or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Worker or similar role.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and cherry pickers.
• Strong understanding of warehouse data systems and hand-held scanners.
• Physical stamina and dexterity are necessary for lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read and write in English for label comprehension and report documentation.
• A team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work overtime and flexibility for various shifts, if necessary.
• Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain management.
• Compliance with all safety regulations and maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the warehouse.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Certification to operate heavy machinery is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position primarily works outdoors in the yard and are exposed to the elements. Conditions can be dusty due to the product we sell.
