Summary:

• Performs general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Uses computer to print warehouse pick lists for order picking.
• Drives appropriate equipment to locate and pull items for customer orders.
• Assist in preparing product for delivery, including performing a deluxe service of mattresses to ensure they are immediately ready to use upon delivery to customers, when applicable.
• Load trucks accurately and safely for shipments and/or customer deliveries.
• Unload truck as needed at main warehouse and/or branch locations.
• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
• Must be dependable and work well with others.
• Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material. Maintain clear aisles and walkways. Ensure material is properly organized.
• Assist in maintaining appearance of warehouse as needed.
• Participate in ongoing education and training as directed or desired.
• Perform cycle counts as required following through on discrepancies as needed. Participate in year-end physical inventory counts.
• Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required, schedule routine or repair maintenance as needed. Maintain presentable truck appearance, cleaning as needed.
• Participate in Safety meetings and adhere to all Safety protocols.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed.
• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner following all safety rules and inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.

Abilities and Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and lift up to 100 pounds on occasion and follow team-lift protocol.
• Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material.
• Must be willing to learn how to driver Powered Industrial Equipment (Forklift and Cherry Picker) and maintain current certification for each type of equipment.

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
