Helinet Aviation Services is a diversified helicopter service provider located in Van Nuys, California. We provide services for a wide range of markets, including VIP charter, emergency medical services including patient and organ transport, electronic news gathering, utility, motion picture, television, and commercial production.
Under the supervision of the Parts Purchasing and Inventory Manager, the Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the purchasing of all aircraft parts, shop supplies, and tooling. The Parts Coordinator will be responsible for shipping and receiving, as well as sending out parts for repairs and part exchange cores in a timely manner.
General Duties:
- Reports to the Inventory Manager and collaborates closely with the Director of Maintenance.
- Ensures accuracy, approval, and timely release of purchase orders.
- Prevents issuance of out-of-date products.
- Handles, stores, packs, preserves, and delivers articles under Parts Department control.
- Ensures that unserviceable parts or components in the Parts Department are identified and segregated from serviceable parts or components
- Manages Sage ERP system for transactions and inventory control.
- Conducts physical counts and cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory quantities.
- Ensures timely expensing of parts to the appropriate aircraft.
- Collaborates with the Accounts Payable department to resolve issues with purchase orders and invoices.
- Notifies the Accounting department of any material inventory adjustments and runs reports as needed.
- Maintains Parts Department premises in a clean and orderly manner.
- Notifies Inventory Manager and Director of Maintenance of Suspected Unapproved Parts and holds them in a quarantine area.
- Ensures exchange part core returns are sent out and tracked for future reference.
- Issues end-of-month parts billing paperwork and transactions.
- Provides coverage for the Records Administrator when necessary.
- Keeps needed inventory and consumables stocked.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in purchasing, procurement or inventory control function preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Proficient in computer systems including Excel, Adobe, and inventory control software systems.
- High School Diploma.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Very strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to obtain a shipping HAZ/MAT certification within 90 days of employment.
