Job Description

Wayside Cider in Andes, NY seeks a chef/kitchen manager for the summer season while our full-time chef is on maternity leave. An ideal candidate for this job will have previous experience in a culinary setting and a passion for food. This individual will be responsible for preparing food for our taproom weekly as well as managing our small kitchen staff. This position is a highly independent one that will require a candidate to both prep and plate a seasonally and locally-sourced menu. We have an existing menu that the candidate can execute, but are also happy to support and encourage creative expression within menu design. Success will be determined by your organizational abilities, discipline, and strong communication skills. Company Description
Wayside's bread and butter, so to speak, is modern American cider. Come fall, big boss Irene and her picking crew can be seen trucking around Delaware County, stopping in beautiful places to collect apples. A sizable percentage of our current crew is made up of folks who at one point held the title of "apple picker". While cider production happens in East Delhi, our taproom and kitchen spaces are located in nearby Andes, NY. The Taproom operates year round, serving our cider as well as other NYS beverages and food from our kitchen.
