Job Description

X3 is looking for a Project Estimator to join our clients growing team!

We provide the opportunity to work on high-end projects in a team-oriented atmosphere. This is a steady full-time position with a great opportunity for advancement and growth.

If you have 5+ years of experience in HVAC/mechanical/plumbing estimating, we want to speak with you!

Job duties of the Project Estimator:

Identify customer needs, review & understand plans & specifications
Send accurately and timely estimate proposals of projects and be prepared with cost breakdowns to include subcontractors and suppliers
Able to present bid, explain and answer questions regarding project to the customers Executives and Project Managers
Ability to flag potential problem areas on projects
Perform load calculations, design duct systems, and take off HVAC equipment
Attend job meetings and pre-bid meetings.
Stay current with material and labor costs to address escalation of costs for budgeting of long-term projects

Job Requirements of the Project Estimator

5+ years of experience in HVAC/mechanical/plumbing estimating experience in commercial work and thorough knowledge of estimating techniques plus industry standards practices and processes that impact the bid construction industry
Must have valid DL and MVR
Working knowledge of air distribution and mechanical systems
Able to read and interpret mechanical specifications and drawings
Must have basic PC experience and knowledge in Windows environment, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Minimal experience with Adobe Acrobat, Web-enabled applications, and database software
Intermediate level experience with Excel a MUST
