Medical Scribe

We are seeking a Medical Scribe to join our successful medical team! This is an exceptional opportunity for candidates to work while awaiting PA, NP or MD programs/school to start. Excellent friendly, fast paced, team-oriented environment!

Responsibilities:

• Working directly with the founding Physician of this thriving medical practice
• Transcribe reports from medical records
• Prepares and assembles medical record documentation/charts for Physician
• Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system.
• Translate abbreviations into proper form
• Transcribe pending orders for referrals, tests, medications, and procedures as dictated by the Physician
• Completing all administrative tasks efficiently and helping the physician take tests and give out medication
• Review reports for completeness
• Correct errors in transcription, grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Prepare and edit the scribed document for physician review and signature
• Process prior Authorizations

​Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 3-6 months of medical scribe experience in a healthcare environment
• Scribes will work closely with the Physician and be present during examination documenting all information while medical care and medical procedures are provided
• Familiarity with EMR devices
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Strong attention to detail along with excellent written communication, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar
• Excellent people and time management skills.
• Team-oriented, upbeat and outgoing personality, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask.
