Return Goods Specialist

Due to recent internal advancements and company growth, Weinbrenner Shoe Company is looking for motivated candidates for the Return Goods Specialist. Under the direction of the Returns Manager, the Return Goods Specialist will be responsible for receiving, inspecting and processing returned footwear for either credit, replacement, or denial. This individual will work closely with the Customer Service, Quality Control and Finished Goods Warehouse Departments.

In this specific role, some expectations include:

• Analize all returned footwear for possible defects in workmanship and materials
• Issue credit on justified returns and upon request return those not legitimate. Those shoes which are not legitimate and not requested to be sent back, hold for 30 days before disposal.
• Advise dealers in writing the reason for not issuing credit.
• Separate worn and unworn returns into appropriate categories for resale purposes.
• Tag worn and defective shoes with date and defect type.
• Prepare examination for review of all legitimate defects for administration and manufacturing supervisors.
• Those defects which are not repairable, punch a hole in the gusset and forward those shoes to factory damage area.
• Clean, re-box, relabel all unworn re-saleable shoes.
• Advise sales and production management of isolated continual defects and keep record of all returns and destroy same by cutting both right and left vamps.
• Ensure all aspects of the job are carried out following applicable WSC ISO 9001 Quality System requirements.
• Maintain electronic files of all receiving notes with finding.
• Follow process and metrics for reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Efficient verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with internal and external personnel.
• Basic mathematical skills
