JOB TITLE:

  • Hoist Maintenance Tech


SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Hoist Maintenance Tech, responsible for managing the inventory, inspection, and testing of hoist equipment, and ensuring the timely completion of site project requests. This role involves meticulous monitoring, operating, and maintaining hoist machinery, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality assurance.


PAY:

  • $21/hour


LOCATION:

  • Suwanee and will move to Lawrencville this summer.


SHIFT:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (approximately)


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uphold warehouse safety standards and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Test hoists using a test stand for certification and inspection under supervision.
  • Conduct annual full hoist teardown and inspection for certification.
  • Clean and measure internal hoist components using precision instruments.
  • Generate annual certification documents upon successful hoist testing.
  • Maintain, clean, and lubricate hoist chains.
  • Perform frequent hoist tests using a test stand upon return from site projects.
  • Replace defective hoist components like chains, brakes, gears, hooks, etc.
  • Prepare and package hoist kits for shipping.
  • Collaborate with leadership and tooling teams for timely equipment delivery.
  • Maintain quality assurance and inventory of hoist supplies.
  • Ensure timely completion of hoist kit assembly.
  • Verify hoist kits for quality before delivery.
  • Review and account for hoists returned from sites.
  • Perform visual and functional inspections of returned hoists.
  • Clean, reorganize, and recertify returned hoist kits.
  • Adhere to standard maintenance protocols.
  • Submit restock requests for parts and tools.
  • Collaborate with the hoist team to resolve operational issues.
  • Manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in annual safety training.
  • Be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Travel may be required for field assignments.
  • Undertake additional duties aligned with the organization’s goals and values.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience with hoisting/rigging equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Must pass certification training within six months.
  • Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email management.
  • Strong team player with flexibility in changing business environments.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • English proficiency required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to see and move throughout the warehouse, with potential repetitive motion activities.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Capable of handling repetitive weight up to 40 lbs.
