Job Description

Career Staffing Talent (CST) is working with a Beverly Hills healthcare provider to recruit a Director of Accounting/Finance to run day-to-day company financial operations and plan the financial strategy. The position will support multiple offices in California and other states, leading the accounting and finance departments.


The candidate must be well-versed in all finance management aspects, from accounting to financial planning and investor relations. The ideal candidate must be capable of managing all related activities as the Head of the Finance and Accounting team. The ideal candidate will thrive on being hands-on and overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This function reports to the Chief Operation Officer.


The position is full-time in the Beverly Hills office, M-F. Compensation is listed in the salary range - W2 with bonus. The benefits are excellent!

Overseeing Financial Operations:

  • Managing all aspects of the companys financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Driving Financial Planning:

  • Leading the companys financial planning process to align with business objectives.

Reliable Reporting:

  • Preparing accurate and dependable cadence reports for actuals, budget, and forecasting.

Finance Audit Management:

  • Organizing and overseeing Finance Audit processes.

Strategic Financial Strategies:

  • Developing and implementing financial strategies that support the companys growth and long-term goals.

Financial Statements and Reporting:

  • Leading the preparation of financial statements and other reports for senior management and external stakeholders.

Cash Flow and Treasury Functions:

  • Managing the companys cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships.

Decision Support and KPIs:

  • Facilitating understanding of performance by providing timely and insightful financial reporting and analysis based on agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and managing financial risks and opportunities, including investment and financing decisions.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Managing the finance and accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Financial Policies and Controls:

  • Establishing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, and controls to comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Cost Reduction and Efficiency:

  • Identifying opportunities for cost reduction, operational efficiency, and process improvement.

Supply Inventory Tracking:

  • Developing and maintaining an effective supply inventory tracking system.

Collaboration and Strategy:

  • Collaborating with other executive team members to develop and execute the companys overall strategy.

Profit and Loss Ownership:

  • Assuming full ownership of high-level profit and loss, as well as department-specific profit and loss.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Leading financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes to drive growth and profitability.

Accounting and Reporting Compliance:

  • Overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.

Thought Leadership:

  • Staying informed about industry trends and best practices, providing thought leadership on financial strategy and operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or CPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, enabling complex financial data analysis and insights for senior management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies to support business growth.
  • Team management experience with a focus on talent development and team building.
  • Excellent communication skills for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Impressive understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, providing thought leadership in financial strategy and operations.
  • Experience developing financial and operational systems for efficient decision support.
  • Exposure to multi-site businesses and international contexts is advantageous.
