As a Supplier Partner Development Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
    • Actively engage with suppliers and supply chains.
    • Possess the ability to accurately assess supplier weaknesses and offer appropriate solutions.
    • Monitor high-risk supplier development issues to proactively prevent potential crises.
    • Drive and enhance supplier problem-solving techniques to address identified supplier faults effectively.
    • Enhance and optimize supplier production systems and processes to ensure uninterrupted operations.
    • Promote supplier operational excellence within the organization.
    • Establish clear priorities and goals to achieve objectives.
    • Adhere to established processes, the Code of Conduct, and the company's defined practices.
    • Act as a representative of the company at supplier sites and escalate issues when necessary to avert crises.
    Education/Experience:
    • A university degree is a prerequisite, with a preference for a major in engineering, business management, or supply chain management.
    • Relevant experience in supply chain (quality and development) and/or production. Preferably, past experience in the automotive or heavy commercial truck industry, specifically in supplier quality and capacity, manufacturing engineering, supplier development, or crisis management.
    Qualifications and Desired Skills: The following requirements reflect the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.
    • Proficient problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
    • Strong accountability and adeptness in managing tasks with minimal supervision.
    • THOROUGH knowledge of PPAP and APQP.
    Competence required for the position:

    • Ability to handle uncertainty and unexpected situations effectively.
    • Proficiently tackle unfamiliar tasks, drawing upon previous experiences.
    • Efficiently manage multiple tasks and workload, ensuring effectiveness.

    • Provide direct and actionable feedback.

    • Provide timely and accurate information to support decision-making.

    • Display strong collaboration and leadership skills.
    • Successfully execute tasks within a complex regional organization.
    • Anticipate potential bottlenecks, explore contingency plans, and offer suitable solutions.
    Salary Range:$75,000 - $85,000
    The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
