Senior Software Engineer, Distributed Systems

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer passionate about tackling big data challenges in the next-generation data clouds. As a crucial early team member, you'll play a significant role in making important architectural decisions that will shape our technology stack for years to come. You'll also have the chance to make an immediate impact on the big data stack at multiple well-known tech and non-tech companies who are our customers. Additionally, you'll receive generous equity compensation with significant growth potential.

• Design and implement creative new algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable systems
• Build interface software: e.g. build a Java driver to Snowflake, plugin to dbt, or network proxy application to intelligently schedule SQL queries on to Snowflake warehouses
• Backend Service Integration: facilitate the transfer of intelligence developed by optimization engineers, serving it back to the system
• Create low-level systems components within a distributed system

• Expertise in C++, Rust, Go, Java or other low level programming languages
• Experience building high performance, high availability systems
• Experience in any number of related systems software projects e.g: Distributed systems, Operating systems, Linux Kernel, Database internals, Hypervisors, Containers, Compiler Optimization, etc.
• Experience with cloud technologies
• Hands on experience with Snowflake (bonus points)
• Previous experience working in a startup environment (bonus points)

Pay Transparency

Compensation for this role consists of a base salary, stock options, and benefits.

Expected base salary range: $160,000 - $200,000 annually, determined by applicable qualifications such as level, education, and skills.
