Job Description

THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2+ years of experience in the human services field with adolescents, willingness and ability to lead large groups for extended periods, and/ or knowledge of human trafficking and interest in preventing the issue.
  • 21+ years of age
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Possess and maintain proof of auto insurance
  • Able to receive a DCFS/CANTS Clearance

Preference is given to individuals who are survivors of trafficking and/or who worked directly with trafficking survivors.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RECOVERY SPECIALIST

As a Behavioral Health Recovery Specialist, your day is a dynamic blend of education, support, and advocacy. You provide youth and parents with education and activities, aligning with CARE principles, while ensuring timely and thorough documentation of case notes. Your role involves clinical case staffing, trauma-informed assessments, and delivering support services in various settings. You actively address human trafficking, offering advocacy and support for survivors. Engaging in community outreach, managing referrals, and adhering to payer regulations, your day concludes with a sense of accomplishment in contributing to the recovery of those you serve. Certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, you adeptly handle crises with fidelity to the TCI model, actively preventing and de-escalating situations as needed.
