Lead Design Engineer

As (Lead Design Engineer) you will be responsible for;

• BOM (Bill of Material) Updates - more frequent than you think with 4 programs doing small changes with tape, foam, variant changes, etc.
• Clip Trials with VW ASUV water leak
• VW ASUV changes to injected parts for BIW issues
• Mercedes Film Trials
• Part History file updates
• Supplier changes (Unique, Cormaplast, Vernicolor)
• BMW Gap to Sheet Metal issue
• BMW Switch Bezel/ Clip falling out issues
• CR (change requests) inputs in Tiger (change mgt system)
• Volvo Glove box Lamp Change
• Test Trials for supplier changes
• Velvet Variant upcoming for BMW (requires testing, setup, BOM update, etc)
• Support trial runs for all changes (BMW Munich Doors, Packaging special orders, coordinating special orders and what to pick for those orders)
• Supporting new station setup for BMW Armrest assembly (Station 0)
• Supporting customer calls and communication (weekly)
• Setup Rework and Mock-Ups
• Plant support for quality issues
• CAE/ India communication for possible injection changes
• Helped with quoting rework/ possible changes

Qualifications;

• Senior Profile, 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with interior and commodities such as door panel, console, dashboard.
• Experience from Concept Design to Engineering phases.
• Able to lead cross functional team, review and approve designs
