About the job
This position is the primary client-facing contact, ensuring alignment between client expectations and project delivery. Oversee project scope, quality, schedule, and budget in collaboration with the Technical Project Manager and delivery team, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and leading project governance, including reporting and escalation management.
The customer base consists of small and midsize businesses in various industries interested in improving business performance through IT, including System Infrastructure, ERP and other applications. In addition, you will help manage projects on behalf of the client's business when it lacks in-house skills and resources.
II. Job Responsibilities and Duties
Essential Functions
Project Engagement Lead Consultant
  1. Perform initial assessments for each client before the project begins
  2. Analyze client business requirements and propose optimal IT and business solutions and/or guidance of how to lead their projects
  3. Design and manage projects to meet requirements, including expectations, scope, risk, resources
  4. Collaborate with project team(s) in the development and implementation of assigned projects
  5. Develop & maintain project documentation in accordance with Calsoft project charter.
  6. Communicate and liaison with Client, Partner and Internal Organization members to ensure project progress
  7. Manage multiple projects at a time
  8. Provide business consulting and ERP consulting service to customers
  9. Report status to upper manager
  10. Participating in mandatory training

Supporting Functions
Team
  1. Collaborate with other team members to achieve team goals.
  2. Contribute to improvement of services, revenue/profitability, methodologies and procedures

III. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years' demonstrable experience as a Project Engagement Lead Consultant, Consultant and/or Project Manager in Information management and systems environment.
  • Experience in management of professional service projects including ERP, cross-functional teams or 3rd party vendors
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the organization
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to identify, understand and communicate business needs for technical projects
  • Business level Japanese language skills
  • Business level English language skills

Desirable Qualifications
  • Strong analytical background
  • Logical thinking, organization and planning skills
  • Good knowledge of business processes
  • Familiarity with a major ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics etc)
  • Familiarity with accounting, operation and/or manufacturing business processes
