Job Summary

• The Zone Mechanic performs all corrective repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment such as patient rooms, patient beds, ice machines, induction units, and refrigerators.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Vocational / Technical Degree (Preferred)

Certification / Licensure / Registration

• Not Applicable –No Certification and Licensure Requirements required or preferred

Experience and Skills

• 3 years related experience (Required)

Physical Requirements and Physical Demands

• Adequate hearing to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Hears alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice.
• Must be able to accurately document pertinent information either by writing or typing.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks/motion.
• Must have good eye-hand-foot coordination.*Must have good manual dexterity.
