Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Reports To: Director Program Management
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
Responsible for processing all customer requests to include answering calls and emails. Provides weekly status reports to customers internally and externally as needed. Works with Production Manager on expediting hot parts throughout the shop and replying to all related customer service requests in a metallics aerospace defense environment.
Experience and Attributes:
- Timely respond to customer inquiries, notify customers of order fulfillment issues & provide status updates & Estimated Ship Dates (ESDs) for parts in-house.
- Contact customer for approval to perform alternate repairs when the customer requested repairs are not possible or were unsuccessful (process Routing Changes).
- Respond to customer requests for quotes.
- Relay urgent requests from customers to the production team as needed.
- Address customer emails continuously throughout the day.
- Ensure status report Estimated Ship Dates (ESDs) are updated & sent to customers periodically.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must read and write the English language.
- Should have basic computer software and keyboarding skills.
- Prior work experience in customer service helpful but not required.
- Should be able to read blueprints and comprehend processes in CMM
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of processes in shop or ability to learn processes in shop
- Experience using ERP software.
- Prior manufacturing experience, Defense Aerospace preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Must have High School Diploma or GED.
