Merchant Services Onboarding Specialist

We are seeking a Merchant Onboarding Specialist to join our dynamic team at SpacePointe in Dayton, OH. The successful candidate will be pivotal in enhancing our merchant acquisition efforts by providing expert management of the onboarding process for card processing services. This role involves the meticulous completion of merchant processing applications, diligent processing for underwriting, and ensuring merchants execute contracts and are fully integrated into our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Merchant Recruitment: Actively engage with potential merchants to explain the benefits and features of our card processing services. Build strong relationships to facilitate the smooth onboarding of new merchants.
• Application Management: Guide merchants through the application process, ensuring that all required documentation is accurately completed and submitted. Provide assistance to resolve any issues or queries related to the application forms.
• Underwriting Process: Liaise with the underwriting team to ensure timely and efficient processing of applications. Communicate regularly with merchants to update them on the status of their application and address any underwriting concerns.
• Contract Execution: Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to prepare contracts. Ensure that merchants understand the terms and facilitate the execution of agreements.
• Onboarding: Oversee the entire onboarding process, from the initial engagement to full integration into the platform. Provide training and support to merchants to ensure they can effectively use our services.
• Feedback Collection: Collect and analyze feedback from new merchants to continually refine the onboarding process and enhance merchant satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in merchant services, specifically in onboarding merchants for card processing. Prior experience in completing merchant processing applications and managing underwriting processes is essential.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
