In this role, this intern would spend their summer shadowing the RDT team while they install options from OCJ and OAC.
Primarily they would focus on the documentation sent with an option and assess their ability to install the option using the provided information.
They will also collect information (via pictures, notes, etc.) and create or improve installation documents.
The goal is to create at least two options manuals using any documentation they collect and to revise at least one manual from OAC or OCJ.
Ultimately, this intern will learn the following skills which will be valuable for their future engineering career:
The role between engineering and production assembly (line techs, field techs, etc.) and the communication needed
The ability to think on the fly and solve real-world engineering issues
Documentation collection and technical documentation creation
Create knowledge of the manufacturing environment and the machine tool industry
Must be enrolled or a graduate of an accredited university or college pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
