Mechanical Design Engineer

Use AutoDesk Inventor 3D to design stainless steel food processing systems for an established, family-friendly OEM crafting cutting-edge production machinery for globally recognized food brands.

Requirements

• BSME or Associates degree in Drafting & Design

• AutoDesk Inventor 3D design software experience
• Experience with sheet metal and structural steel preferred.
• Experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design stainless steel food processing systems in Autodesk Inventor 3D.
• Create sheet metal parts for fabrication on laser and press brake, tube and pipe components and weldments, and complete mechanical assemblies.
• Engineering Layout Drawing (ELD) generation based on design parameters from the Project Engineer.
• Create drawings of Inventor models and assemblies after ELD approval for release to manufacturing.
• Production planning, including:
  • Mechanical release from engineering to manufacturing
  • Coordinate purchasing of special or custom materials
  • Plotting all drawings.
