Press Brake Operator

Bibey Machine and Fabrication is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Press Brake Operator.

Bibey Machine and Fabrication is a Greensboro, NC based company with three locations in the Triad. Our vast array of services includes custom machine design, welding, gear cutting and metal fabrication performed on state-of-the-art equipment. Our experienced team also does production milling and turning as well as fixture and gauge design. Our capabilities include machining and fabrication with metal, plastic and phenolic materials.

As a Press Brake Operator, you will

• Set up and perform brake operations on brake machinery to specifications of work orders and fabrication prints/drawings without supervision
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings or fabrication prints as needed
• Calculate bend deduction allowances as required to set up tooling properly and safely
• Follow job packet instructions to safely produce required quantity of parts efficiently and within the required tolerances
• Follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding
• Perform quality inspection of own work to ensure required dimensional tolerances and cosmetic requirements are met
• Performs light level daily maintenance on assigned equipment

The successful candidate will have

• At least 2 years of experience in sheet metal precision press brake operations
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings involving brake operations
• The ability to communicate verbally and in writing using English
• The ability to meet the physical demands of the position which include manual dexterity to be able to safely operate the machinery and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• The ability to pass our pre-employment criminal background screen
