The Opportunity:

West Liberty University is seeking applications for Admissions Counselor in the University Admissions Office.  This position is responsible for traveling to various high schools and college fairs to market West Liberty University to potential applicants.  In addition, the Admissions Counselor performs the following activities, including, but not limited to: 

• Recruit prospective students
• Lead institution information sessions, campus tours, and assist with campus programs
• Counseling & advising throughout the Admissions & Registration process
• Evaluate college transcripts from prospective and accepted transfer students
• Manage alternative recruitment efforts, including social media, communication plans, orientation, and registration for new students, ambassadors, etc.

Education Requirement: 

• Bachelors degree in a related field is required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail is imperative
• Creative thinking 
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
