Job description

Position Title
PRN Nurse Tech- Liberty Hospital
Liberty Hospital
Position Summary / Career Interest:
Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs technical skills under the direction of the nurse.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with appropriate patient care and interventions as delegated by the nurse
  • Report outcomes and changes in patient condition to the nurse
  • Collaborate with the nurse in the plan of care
  • Report observations regarding effectiveness of intervention to the nurse
  • Communicate effectively with patient, family, physicians, and health care team
  • Apply safety and infection control measures
  • Documentation of patient care provided in the clinical record.
  • Continuing education as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
  • Actively enrolled in a professional nursing education program and has completied a fundamentals of nursing course

Preferred Education and Experience
  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Less than 1 year recent experience in an acute care setting.

Required Licensure and Certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
