Salary: $30 - $40/hour

Infrastructure Technologies, LLC (IT) is currently seeking a motivated Environment Compliance Inspector to join our team. As a member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the environmental compliance of the Purple Line project. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, high levels of discretion, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position will be required to be full-time in the project office in Riverdale MD. However, the candidate should understand that this is a field inspection position, and a majority of the daily duties will require outdoor field work, including significant walking on uneven terrain, in all weather conditions.


Project Overview


The Purple Line is a 16-mile light rail line that will extend from Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrollton in Prince George's County. It will provide a direct connection to the Metrorail Red, Green and Orange Lines, at Bethesda, Silver Spring, College Park, and New Carrollton. The Purple Line will also connect to MARC, Amtrak, and local bus services. The Purple Line is owned by the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA). In spring of 2016, MDOT MTA selected a private-sector partner, Purple Line Transit Partners (PLTP) to design, build, operate, and maintain the light rail system for 35 years.


Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
• Perform a variety of tasks related to environmental permit compliance.
• Assist in the coordination, planning and implementation of the contract documents.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and project counterparts.
• Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration.


Qualifications


• A bachelor’s degree or specific training in related field preferred.
• Previous experience in environmental compliance, stormwater management or similar field is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications or tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work on weekends as required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks or responsibilities.
• Commitment to upholding company values and standards.
