Sustainability & Solar Energy Sr. Financial Analyst

Job Overview:

Volt Solar Energy, a leading renewable energy company based in Miami, Florida, is seeking a talented and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Solar Energy Financial Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting senior management decision-making through comprehensive financial modeling and analysis, with a focus on sustainability and solar energy initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for interacting with the accounting department to maintain accurate financial records.

Position Specific Description:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to develop and execute robust commercial proposals for our customers. You will analyze financial structures, evaluate investment decisions, and provide expertise in areas such as tax equity, financial forecasting, and market trends. Additionally, you will support bid management, estimation, documentation, and reporting processes related to solar energy projects. As part of your responsibilities, you will also handle regular bookkeeping tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of customer quotes to assess profitability, and competitive position.
• Provide financial analysis support for various solar energy projects, including IRR, net present value, and payback calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze new products and services, technical initiatives, and market opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management, investors, and regulatory bodies to communicate financial insights and recommendations.
• Maintain forecasting models, perform variance analysis, and track key performance indicators to inform strategic decision-making.
• Support the development and execution of financing products to be offered in connection with solar energy systems.
• Perform regular bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, renewable energy, or related fields.
• In-depth understanding of cost accounting as it relates to construction projects.
• Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
