Our company is looking to hire a Full-Time Regional Operations Manager that will be reporting out of our Bloomington, MN office.

The Regional Operations Manager oversees organizational processes and operations to ensure productivity and quality in their geographical territory. Their main duties include overseeing the recruiting and hiring process, improving productivity and efficiency and managing quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day (24/7/365) operations with individual control, judgement, and discretion to achieve company goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution.
  • Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Respond and interface with clients and prospects as needed and requested.
  • Contribute and execute the onboarding plan of new market clients as the market grows.
  • Learn and master transportation software, ELD software/Safety Tracking, Pay Systems, as well as other third-party and client software systems to support the business.
  • Oversee weekly contractor commissions processes to ensure all regional contractors receive timely and accurate settlements.
  • Schedule and communicate with contractors and company drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Manage all company service-related standards to achieve on-time delivery in performance of services; suggest and implement. policy changes to improve services and on-time delivery.
  • Field any client calls and take responsive action as deemed necessary under the circumstances to maintain a positive relationship between the Company and the client.
  • Monitor and track driver deliveries and service failures daily; determine appropriate efforts to achieve continuous improvement for customer satisfaction.
  • Make client pickups and deliveries as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.


Schedule: Monday to Friday 11am to 8pm. Work hours are subject to change due to business needs.

Pay: $60-$65K

Requirements

Skills Required:
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Comprehension the last-mile delivery industry, our capabilities and deliver our value proposition.
  • Ability succeed and thrive in time sensitive situations and maintain positive contractor relationships.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
  • Organized, attentive to detail, accountable, open-minded, coachable, self-starting, solid follow-through, and multi-tasking.

Travel & Work Conditions:
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 105 pounds.
  • Exposure weather conditions with possible exposure to extreme hot and cold weather elements when outside or driving.
  • Primarily sedentary work environment and occasionally requires heavy work strength levels.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years Logistics, Distribution and/or Transportation/Supply Chain Solutions experience.
  • 2+ years of management experience required.
  • Possesses a valid CDL Class B driver's license with Hazmat Endorsement with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the last 3 years .
  • NOTE: You will have 30 Days from date of hire to obtain if not already held.
  • Associated Couriers will cover the cost of obtaining a CDL-B License backed by a 1-year promissory note of employment.
  • Pass a Security Threat Assessment (STA) from the Transportation & Security Administration (TSA) to handle items for air cargo and deliver said items to the airport for shipment and maintain this authorization.
  • Ability to pass a DOT drug test to meet FMSCA requirements and obtain a DOT Med card prior to start date.

Work Authorization:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without any type of work authorization or work sponsorship now or in the future.
