Field Intern - Water Resources

Position: Environmental Services / Water Resources Intern (Seasonal position)

Compensation: $20 per hour

Your Role as a Field Intern:

• Gain hands-on experience in construction skills, environmental compliance, and safety protocols.
• Work on active construction sites and urban landscapes.
• Perform general landscaping tasks to restore areas to pre-construction conditions, including sodding, irrigation, and hardscaping.
• Assist in construction site sediment discharge maintenance/cleanup.
• Prepare written field reports and communicate effectively with supervisors.
• Use hand tools and demonstrate the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Prioritize safety and adhere to safe work practices.

• Gain experience and exposure to a growing environmental consulting firm.
• Collaborate with and learn from industry experts.
• Join a nationally recognized firm with over 1,200 employees and 50+ locations across the US.

• 0-2 years of experience; newcomers are welcome.
• Light construction experience such as masonry or landscaping is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of environmental science and regulatory knowledge.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask.
• Excellent record-keeping abilities.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Access to reliable transportation.
