Job Description

Job Title: Entry-Level Safety Consultant - Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR)
Location: Eastern Pennsylvania (Hybrid Role)

About the Position:
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Occupational Safety and Health graduate looking to utilize their degree. As a Safety Consultant to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), you will primarily focus on the eastern side of the state. This hybrid position includes some days in the office at Beltzville State Park, telework, and onsite visits to various worksites.

Responsibilities:

Utilize the DCNR action plan to set dates, determine responsibilities, and track completion.
Conduct worksite safety inspections primarily on the eastern side of the state.
Develop and deliver health and safety training in-person or via webinar.
Conduct assessments and audits in accordance with the Accident and Illness Prevention Program (AIPP) and DCNR policy.
Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and provide recommendations for injury prevention and safety compliance.
Provide on-site health and safety support independently.
Adapt to client needs and build strong relationships to foster a safety culture.

Requirements:

AIPP qualification and less than two years of occupational safety experience, OR
AIPP qualification and at least two years of occupational safety experience, OR
At least two years of occupational safety experience and working towards an AIPP qualification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
