Civil Survey Laborer

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform Topographical Surveys, Utility Surveys and Construction layout, for municipal, private and roadway projects.
• Utilize Trimble Robotic, GNSS and conventional equipment and survey data collection software to take measurements and collect relevant information.
• Perform daily import of all field collected data.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and professional field notes.
• Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Primarily field work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Alignment with GRIT values.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying or geography, preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of surveying experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions.
• General understanding of the principles and practices of land surveying.
• General understanding of CAD software, MicroStation, Trimble Business Center, and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Basic computer skills; proficient with Microsoft office, Trimble, and other relevant software.
• Skilled using surveying instruments including Trimble Robotic and GNSS Equipment.
• Ability to understand elevations and offset information.
• Ability to read roadway and other construction plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
