JOB SUMMARY

ATC Healthcare is seeking to hire an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in Infectious Disease. This person will be the active provider for the practice. As an Infectious Disease APRN, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis, treatment an management of patients with infectious diseases. Compensation
  • $55 to $65/ Hour based on experience.

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited APRN program, usually at the master's degree level.

LICENSURE

Current and unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse and required state authority to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

EXPERIENCE

Must have autonomous license to practice, with requirement met of 3,000 hours working under an MD.

CREDENTIALS:

CPR as required by client facility; health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Various client facility settings; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will perform duties of the active provider for the clinic.
  • Documents accurately and completely services provided.
  • Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Communicates information effectively and clearly to patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood cultures, imaging studies and microbiological tests, HIV and STD tests.
  • See patients in office 2 to 3 days a week and be available by phone the rest of the week.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications including antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals, and provide patient education on medication management and adherence
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including nurses, pharmacists and laboratory staff, to optimize patient care outcomes.
