Job purpose

To be successful as Project Scheduler, you should be committed to improving customer experiences and able to ensure operational efficiency. Ultimately, a top-notch Project Scheduler should have excellent organizational, people management, and problem-solving skills.


Duties and responsibilities

The following are intended to be examples of the responsibilities for the person in this role. This position description is not intended to be complete or all-­-inclusive and does not preclude management from assigning other or related functions if such functions are a logical assignment for the position;


· Proficient Primavera P6/Microsoft Projects

· Excellent computer skills within the Microsoft Office Suite

· Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

· Provide support to detailed schedule development based on project understanding from team members

· Provide support to track project progress and perform analysis of bottlenecks, trends, and critical path

· Identify and communicate project risks and develop mitigation plans

· Prepare project status presentations, highlighting key accomplishments, risks, and changes

· Develop custom projects reports as needed to facilitate project discussions

· Provide additional support as required/needed by the project manager(s) or project controls manager (including field project coordination and management of sub-projects)

· Track project deliverable & monitor physical percent complete (tracking installed quantities)

· Develop customized schedule reports as per project needs (two week look ahead, variance reports, progress reports, milestone reports as needed).

· Exhibits professionalism by establishing effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect

· Conducts business activities in an honest, forthcoming manner and follow through on commitments

· Manages individual time by building due dates into assignments and then prioritizes work to accomplish more in less time

· Continually seeks new functional knowledge and looks to build technical expertise

· Excels in a team setting by clearly communicating project information and by listening effectively and inviting responses

· Good interpersonal and collaborating skills.

· Good organization and prioritization skills to execute work accurately and largely self-directed, handle multiple priorities, and analyze reports and trend activities.

· Optimizing operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality standards.

· Identifying ways to improve customer experiences.

· Interacting with customers and suppliers, answering questions, and resolving issues.

· Work with senior stakeholders.

· Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.

· Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.

· Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.

· Support worker communication with the management team.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


· Bachelor's degree preferred.

· 4+ years of experience as an Operations Specialist or in a similar role.

· Primavera P6/Microsoft Projects

· Strong people management and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

· Detail-oriented.

· A high degree of skill in written and oral communications.

· Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

· Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security pre-employment background check.

· Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

· Project Controls experience

· Cost planning management experience

· Previous systems experience and understanding of their reporting interfaces


Preferred Qualifications

· OSHA 10/30 – Construction Safety course completion, additional training in electrical safety, vertical construction, LOTO

· Any related certifications preferred but not required
