Salary: $50K-$65K DOE

Position Summary:

The IT Security Alignment Engineer (SAE) is an evangelist of standards and technical alignment. The SAE develops a technical relationship with the client based on processes and best practices. This is done through consistent and scheduled visits where the SAE audits the client’s environment for compliance to established practices.


The Security Alignment Engineer must maintain clear and detailed documentation and follow existing processes to provide other roles within Onsite Logic vital that helps protect our clients. This role serves as a vital communication link between our clients and support team and requires the ability to demonstrate an intense curiosity and investigative nature. The SAE works closely with the vCIO and other team members in providing critical services to our client. This position has no direct reports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help business owners identify technical risk and minimize reactive problems by performing regular security alignment reviews.
  • Assist in building and maintaining a standards library.
  • Identify technical risks and keep up to date on best practices.
  • Support and coordinate regular vCIO review meetings with clients.
  • Effectively document and maintain client technical documentation.
  • Understand Technology Alignment objectives, as well as the role and function of internal team members.
  • Learn and cross-train in other Onsite Logic support roles in anticipation of moving to other more advanced roles.
  • Provide basic technical support to end users by completing specific tickets using SOPs.
  • Personify friendliness and exhibit ability to get along with others.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma / GED (Required)
  • IT Help Desk: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of an IT ticketing system (Preferred)
  • College Degree or equivalent experience (Preferred)
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications (Preferred)


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic cyber security concepts and willingness to continue security focused learning.
  • An understanding of client service concepts.
  • A detail-oriented approach to working with the ability to identify process improvements.
  • Personable & approachable with the ability to build strong working relationships internal and external to the organization.
  • Organized and self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
  • Willingness to take on new duties or roles as you demonstrate proficiency in the IT Security Alignment Manager role.


Key Performance Indicators:

  • Successful completion of technology alignments on assigned dates. (>95%)
  • Quarter over quarter reduction of reactive tickets from assigned clients
  • Creation, refinement, and application of best practices to client environments.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Frequent sitting for extended periods of time up to two (2) hours in length
  • Occasional lifting, pushing and pulling
  • Occasional standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crouching and crawling
  • Frequent written and oral communication and interaction with clients, co-workers and vendors
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 25 pounds without assistance
  • Frequent typing on a computer or device requiring manual dexterity
  • Frequent reading and writing
  • This position may require occasional driving a vehicle, therefore the application of manual dexterity while operating a vehicle, obeying traffic laws, and visual acuity will be necessary.
