Billing Assistant

J2T is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Assistant. The ideal candidate will be an entry-level candidate looking to get their foot in the door in the accounting industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 0 to 3 years of billing experience.

Responsibilities:

• Generate reports for Work in Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable (A/R)
• Monitor the status of electronically billed invoices
• Edit and resubmit invoices with payment discrepancies
• Review and adjust time entries on preliminary bills
• Identify unrecoverable expenses and fees from electronic billing
• Contribute to our customer support procedures
• Collect and arrange documentation for expense charges
• Support colleagues in preparing and publishing preliminary bills and invoices

• Strong organizational capabilities, including strategic multitasking and prioritization

• Demonstrated ownership mindset, proactive communication, and remarkable follow-up skills
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as per departmental requirements

Experience:

• A college degree is preferred but not mandatory
• Proficiency in technology, particularly in MS Office Suite
• Capability to effectively utilize technology in work processes
