Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Lewisburg, TN
Duration: 12+ Months with possible extensions
Description:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, packaging and preservation, inventory control, logistics, training, planning, employee performance evaluations and problem solving in a warehouse operations environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage warehouse inventory and keep records of the inventory
· Lead clerical team of indirect support team members; including but not limited to inventory, logistics, planning etc.
· Complete daily safety inspections
· Track down units with quality issues and provide recommendations for resolution
· Monitor yard trailer movement and radio communication
· Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend measures to improve production
· Partner with union leadership to quickly resolve issues and drive a high-performance culture
· Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and safety rules and regulations
· Effectively manage hourly associates and achieve employee engagement objectives
· Use Cx tools to improve production processes and correct deficiencies as they occur
· Ensure EH&S standards and administrative procedures are followed
· Must be able to work all shifts in a 24-hour operation with weekend overtime as required
Required Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· 3+ years of experience managing or supervising in a warehousing, production, and/or planning environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience motivating, coaching and leading hourly associates, preferably in a union environment
· Proven leadership abilities that drive results with a sense of urgency
· Supervisory experience in materials workforce or shipping/receiving operations with proven leadership skills and experiences
· Result oriented with ability to multitask and handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles preferred
· Demonstrate sound leadership skills with a sense of urgency to obtain results
· Ability to effectively work cross functionally with various groups including Materials, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics Center, Finance, HR, EH&S, etc.
· Proficient in the use of PC and software applications.
