We are currently seeking a Commissioning Technicians for our Utility Division that will support work in Nevada.

What you’ll do:
  • Assist with the inspection of PV plants to specifications of construction documents
  • Complete all commissioning documentation during inspection
  • Document all outstanding issues and deliver all documentation in a neat and orderly manner for review by the Commissioning Manager
  • Assist commissioning Manager with field test data entry as needed
  • Perform final visual and mechanical inspections on equipment before energization date
  • Oversee third party testing and inspections
  • Ensure site documentation is prepared for upcoming sites
  • Identify and document deviations from established quality standards and recommend corrective actions to address any deficiencies.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation control practices, including the preparation of inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and other commissioning-related documentation.

What you’ll bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical training in construction, engineering, or commissioning is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or civil engineering is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in commissioning, with a strong focus on large-scale utility solar projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and civil construction techniques, processes, and equipment.
  • In-depth understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to utility-scale solar construction.
  • Proven expertise in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools, equipment, and software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or non-compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders, construction craft staff, and the project management team.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor environments and climb ladders when required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA-10 (Construction Specific) certification
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screening and background check.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

  • Work hours may vary based on the needs of the construction activity.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
