Position Title and Summary

The Janitor is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room and public areas.

Reports To

Facility Manager

Responsibilities

• Daily Cleaning Tasks, both Inside and Outside the facility
• Daily Cleaning Projects, such Window Washing, ensuring that the building and facility looks inviting.
• Seasonal work, which incl. leaf cleanup/snow removal/holiday decorations etc.
• Light landscaping tasks
• Distribute packages, mail and other materiel throughout the building/facility
• Light assembly of various office items
• Assist office assistant/manager when needed

Qualifications / Knowledge / Critical Skills

• High school degree
• Knowledge and experience with mechanical and electrical systems and well as Fire Fighting systems
• Has capacity to work independently and manage projects efficiently and effectively.
• Hard working, and works well with tools and repairs
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Pro-Active, quick-learner, and self-starter
• Strong organizational skills

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stand and walk.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Frequent local travel required.
