Job Description

OVERVIEW:

Prepare loans for closing. Perform support functions for the Mortgage area which include maintaining loan variables, working with closing attorney, and loan set-up processing. Provide support for all loan-servicing functions. Provide courteous and cooperative support to customers and attorneys as well as other departments within the Bank, via phone, email or in person.

  • Represent the Bank in a professional and courteous manner to all customers, associates, vendors, and the public.
  • Provide exceptional service to existing and potential customers in person, electronically, by mail or by telephone while adhering to Bank standards and policies for any inquiries, complaints or problems and provide follow through to resolution.
  • Responsible for filing correspondence and/or any documents to the customer’s loan file.
  • Review reports to maintain, manage and track all pending, outstanding and exceptions as assigned.
  • Efficiently transact and perform maintenance within the Bank’s core system.
  • Cross-train on and serve as back up within the Mortgage Department.
  • Understand, observe, and follow all regulatory requirements, Bank policies and procedures.
  • Attend mandatory training and complete online assignments for regulatory compliance, as scheduled.
  • Schedule loan closings with attorney offices and maintain dates on calendars.
  • Complete, prepare and review all loan documents for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements (i.e., Truth in Lending and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act – TRID), and work with loan processors and/or attorneys to clear any conditions needed for closing.
  • Prepare loan closing packages.
  • Receive loan packages from attorney offices, complete maintenance on loan variables, copy and deliver any documents including notes, change of address and signature cards to customer service.
  • Prepare daily loan closing report.
  • Scan and digitalize paper documents.
  • Perform duties required or as assigned by management to achieve successful Bank performance.
  • Other duties as requested by Management.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service/lending/loan servicing experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness and capacity to understand and adhere to all written procedures.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy oriented.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in scanning and digitizing paper documents.
