Rig Monitor Technician <p><strong>Rig Monitor Technician:&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Division/Department:&nbsp;</strong>Heavy Civil Construction</p><p><strong>Reports to:&nbsp; </strong>Foreman/Superintendent</p><p><strong>Job Classification:&nbsp;</strong>Hourly</p><p>Stone Ridge Contracting provides heavy civil construction and energy services throughout the United States.&nbsp; We are an industry leader in safety culture and offer competitive benefits including:</p><ul><li>Competitive pay</li><li>PTO Program</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Dental &amp; Vision</li><li>401K</li><li>Internal Advancement Opportunities.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Our Idaho Team&nbsp;is currently seeking one <strong>Rig Monitor Technician</strong> to join our summer field program working on a phosphate exploration drilling program near <strong>Soda Springs, Idaho</strong>.&nbsp;Technician will be responsible for boxing and tracking core as it is drilled and tracking drilling activities at the drill site.&nbsp; Guidance and oversight will be provided by the site Professional Geologist.&nbsp; If applicant is a current student in geology or other applicable science program, this position will be considered a paid internship.</p><p><strong>Specific Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Promote a safe and productive working environment.</li><li>Track and log drilling operations.</li><li>Accept and box core as it is provided by the driller at the drill pad.</li><li>Record data such as drill hole, depth of core, recovery, and depth to groundwater.</li><li>Work 12 hour shifts 6:00pm to 6:00am.</li><li>Four (4) days on/four (4) days off.</li><li>Attend pre-job training and orientation.</li><li>Work closely with technical staff and project manager to execute work on projects.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred skills and experience of the position include:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in, or currently working towards obtaining, Mine Engineering, Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li>Ability to learn and take directions from others.</li><li>Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to perform in high-pressure / time-sensitive situations and meet deadlines.</li><li>Must have strong interpersonal skills and can work well in a team environment.</li><li>Ability to work in a field environment in all types of weather (50% each)</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Ability to stand for long periods of time on hard or uneven surfaces.</li><li>Ability to walk through rough and uneven terrain.</li><li>Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to drive a 4WD work vehicle on narrow, unimproved exploration roads in adverse conditions.</li></ul><p><strong>Employment Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be legally eligible to work in the United State of America</li><li>Successful completion of a pre-employment background screen, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, and a pre-placement fitness for duty evaluation</li><li>These positions will be stationed out of the Mine Office.&nbsp; Technicians will be expected to drive to the mine office.&nbsp; Work Schedule will include rotating 10-day-on, 4-day-off schedule.</li><li>This position is subject to a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.&nbsp; We offer a competitive hourly wage.</li><li>Employment will be through a third party but reporting and work assignment will be managed by Stone Ridge Contracting.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Stone Ridge Contracting, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
