The Senior Project & Data Analyst is responsible for providing project management support, data management and analysis that helps project managers deliver projects on time and budget. The Senior Project & Data Analyst’s information will help evaluate and prioritize potential projects, ensure smooth delivery, and support objective assessment of the project at completion. 

  

To ensure success as our Senior Project & Data Analyst you should demonstrate extensive experience as a project analyst and the ability to provide leadership and guidance. An outstanding data /project analyst will be someone whose expertise in project management and data management and analysis that translates into successfully realizing organizational goals and objectives.

Duties include active research to design new projects and prepare and present new ideas to improve current business processes and data. Information collection is also a part of the job, with the need to analyze statistical data, market trends, and other data relevant to clients and internal projects.   

 

You will manage client projects from start to finish, including assisting in the development of project strategies and objectives, identifying potential risk and devising mitigation strategies, conducting research to support project objectives, and creating detailed reports on project progress and outcomes:

 

Project Management Support

  • Develop project plans based on logical framework approaches. 
  • Determine the scope of projects via consultation and investigation. 
  • Analyze existing project plans' strengths, weaknesses, and risks and recommend improvements. 
  • Maintain project timeframes, objectives, and communications.
  • Identify, document and improve business processes (Business Process Reengineering)
  • Identify the goals and requirements of each project. 
  • Identify project parameters and specifications. 
  • Perform cost calculations and coordinate budgets with financial departments. 
  • Allocate personnel and resources to project tasks. 
  • Collaborate across departments to set realistic project targets and timeframes. 
  • Provide guidance and monitor the progress made with each project stage. 
  • Facilitate suitable interventions to prevent costly delays. 
  • Present project progress updates to senior executives. 

 

Document and Knowledge Management

  • Create and manage documentation and reports with the highest level of professionalism/accordance with company standards. 
  • Verify data and information and analyze it to suit the direction of a project. 
  • Track, forecast, and report on project progress, including metrics and challenges.
  • Collect the necessary information required to start projects. 
  • Maintain current knowledge applicable to each project.
  • Maintain accurate record of time, per company guidelines. 

 

Data Analysis and Management

  • Data Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis using statistical methods and tools to extract actionable insights from large datasets. 
  • Data Modeling: Develop, implement and optimize advanced statistical models for predictive and prescriptive analysis, ensuring accuracy and reliability.   
  • Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Data Cleansing and Preprocessing: Cleanse and preprocess raw data to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis, addressing any missing or inconsistent information. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and decision-makers, to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions. 
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in the formulation of strategic plans by providing insights into trends, patterns, and opportunities based on data analysis. 
  • Tool Proficiency: Use data analysis tools and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI proficiently. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics. Propose and implement improvements in data analysis processes. 
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical results through thorough testing and validation procedures. 
  • Documentation: Document methodologies, data sources, and analytical processes to maintain a clear and organized record for future reference. 

 

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 

These are some of the required skills and experiences you’ll need for success in this role: 

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, computer science, business administration, or a related discipline. 
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Project Management and Data Analytics
  • Prior experience as a project management and data analyst in a related field 
  • Prior business process reengineering experience.
  • Extensive industry knowledge. 
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent leadership skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Exceptional research and reporting skills 
  • Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and comfortable working to tight deadlines 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and follow-through abilities 
  • Proficient in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Flexible to work long hours and/or weekends, as required, to meet project deadlines.
