Job Description
We currently operate in more than 50 counties across Florida and provide a wide range of tailored commercial fuel and lubricant solutions to customers in the agricultural, industrial, construction, marine, fleet and government sectors. Operating out of 15 locations statewide, the company is a leader in the industry in the procurement and sale of gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, commercial and industrial lubricants, and chemicals that are used across a diverse set of end markets. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a desire to work for a fast-paced, corporate organization that has a solid background in Safety Practices, Logistics, Customer Service, Human Resources, Accounting Principles, and General Management. The job requires a ‘roll-up your sleeves attitude’, along with exceptional front-line workforce communication, customer service, leadership, and organizational skills.
The Plant Manager is responsible for site safety practices, site profitability and execution of business processes. As a leader in the business, the Plant Manager is responsible for building safety culture, executing company mission statement and living core values & leadership principles.
The job responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for promotion and adherence of safe work practices and commit to plant safety procedures
- Execute weekly stand-up safety meetings with all site employees (per company standards)
- Manage inventory costs and eliminate shrinkage
- Inspect site personnel overtime wages
- Improve site financial operating metrics, including distribution costs per gallon
- Create annual site budget
- Dispatch / Logistics
- Inventory Overall Management
- Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manager and develop site staff
- Solve customer problems and overall management back up
- Establish employee annual goals, objectives and quarterly reviews
- Administration from Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, plant bill payment activities, purchase order requests, lubricant & package good invoices
