The Role:
KRCL is looking for an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented self-starter to join the firm as a Billing Supervisor in our Dallas office. The Billing Supervisor will work under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and provide support to the attorneys and staff in the firm. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be a proactive team player, have good organizational and math skills, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements
- Ability to work under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and provide support to the attorneys and staff in the firm.
- Oversee and manage billing department including training, variance analysis, and process efficiencies.
- Print and distribute proformas to attorneys.
- Process client invoices in Elite.
- Submit the appropriate invoices through the BillBlast or designated client e-bill site.
- Collect required backup for costs to submit through the BillBlast.
- Follow up with rejected items through the BillBlast and process appeals.
- Provide billing information as requested.
- Sort and file correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and maintain regular contact with all parties.
- Consistent follow-through and ability and flexibility to multi-task and effectively balance priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Communicates well, shows teamwork effort, and collaborates well with everyone you encounter.
- Exceptional customer service and people skills.
- Superior problem-solving ability and ability to work with minimal supervision while exercising sound and independent judgment.
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Four (4) year undergraduate degree preferred but not required.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience with accounting and billing procedures.
- Must type at least 55 WPM and have exceptional computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Software.
- Experience working with various timekeeping and billing systems (Elite and Aderant preferred).
- Must be proficient with attention to detail, organized and an effective time manager to meet project deadlines.
- Must possess excellent English communication skills with the ability to speak and write clearly and informatively and able to read and interpret information.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be willing to work additional hours and weekends as required for the role.
- Exceptional customer service skills required for the role.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer terminal and bend, stoop and lift up to 25 lbs.
